This page provides instructions on how to log in and launch Autodesk Maya & Adobe Creative Suite software, such as Photoshop.
Use your UCSD AD username and password to log in
DO NOT save anything locally - use your Google Drive / Microsoft OneDrive for storage
Log Out after you are done using the computer - every time!
Hint: If the iMac is frozen for over 2 minutes OR you are unable to log in, press and hold the power button for 5 to 7 seconds. Pause for a few seconds. Press the power button once to re-start the iMac.
After logging on to the iMac, open the Finder app, found in the Dock
Click 'Applications' on the top left
Double click Adobe Creative Cloud (red icon) or click the arrow to the left to expand the selection
Double click Adobe Creative Cloud (red/yellow/green) icon to launch the software
Type in your full username@ucsd.edu email address
Click the blue 'Continue' button
Do not select 'Continue with Google/Facebook/Apple/etc'
UCSD branded logon screen will appear
Your username should already be auto-populated
Type in your AD password and click 'Sign in'
Use your cell phone or keyfob for DUO verification
Click 'Continue'
Check the 'Don't show this again' and click 'Yes'
Select 'UC - San Diego' profile
The Home page of Adobe Creative Suite will appear
Click the 'Apps' tab on the top left
Find the software you want to use
Click 'Open' to launch!
After logging on to the iMac, open the Finder app, found in the Dock

Double click Autodesk or click the arrow to the left to expand the selection
Double click maya2025 folder and Maya icon to launch the software
