Web Hosting

For faculty and labs, SSCF maintains several options for web hosting environments. Please contact us and we'll help you get started on hosting your website. The environments we offer include:

• blank web space for personal webpages (HTML, JS, CSS) 

  • example: https://pages.ucsd.edu/~shorton/

• blank web space for experimental or lab websites (HTML, JS, CSS, PHP)

  • example: https://bradylab.ucsd.edu/

• Google Sites - Easy web building platform and tools that anyone without web design experience can use. The .ucsd.edu domain can be mapped to your sites.google.com URL. 

  • example: https://serenceslab.ucsd.edu/ 

• Wordpress - Another easy, flexible web building platform. We allow most readily available themes to be installed on this platform (free or premium). For plugins, we only offer our current wide range of installed plugins.

• If you would like to build your own website using an advanced web framework like NodeJS, React, Flask, Django, etc., please contact us.
